Don't drop them!!

I dropped the weight from about 2 feet off the ground onto a padded mat. One of the plastic wheels that hold the weights to the handle broke.... If you feel like you can lift weights and never, ever, ever drop one then buy them. Be warned though, if you drop these weights from any height they will break, and you will be forced to buy another handle.

Best Dumbbells Ever!!!!

I decided to spend the few extra dollars on these 2009 model Select Techs (assuming any prior issues they may have had were corrected) and boy am I glad I did, they are AWESOME! The dials, in my opinion, are ten times easier than the magnetic pins of PowerBlocks, and these Bowflex dumbells look ten times more fashionable (our gym equipment is on our loft, so yes my wife and I have a style standard). These dumbells are about 15 inches long, but neither of us have any issues with their size (I think the PowerBlocks were only a 3 inch difference anyways).

Good Buy

...The only downside to this product is its overall size. These dumbbells are BIG. Due to the overall length from dial to dial it can be slightly cumbersome to perform certain exercises where the two dumbbells come into close proximity. It's a minor inconvenience and has not prevented me from doing any particular exercise. As a result, though, I give the product 4/5 stars. I also highly recommend these to a full range dumbbell set, especially if you travel since these are portable.
